Chris's Report
Billy, Grandma, Grandpa, and I went on a trip to Niagara Falls. We left at 6:00am on Friday, June the 8th. It took us about 9 hours to get to the hotel. We checked in, took our stuff to our room, we went to see the Butterfly Observatory. Later there was Fireworks above the falls.
Saturday morning we went on a tour at 9:00. We went to an island between the American Falls and the Canadian Fall. Then we went over to Canada. We did the Journey Behind the Falls where we went behind the Horseshoe Falls. After that on the tour we did the Maid of the Mist boat ride where you're on a boat that goes right into the mist of the Horseshoe Falls. After that we went to the Sheraton's Pent House for lunch. Next we did the Great Gorge Adventure where you walk on a walkway right next to the river. We went to the Floral Clock, which is a clock that the back is flowers. We kept going north to the whirlpool, which is about the only one that changes direction twice a day. Still on the tour we went to the Minolta tower that over looks both the falls. We went back to the hotel, relaxed then went to look for Fort Niagara.
Sunday morning we went to Fort Niagara and saw the King's Birthday. They also had a surgeon that was pretending to operate on a Boy Scout. Most of there ways are a lot different from ours. We were able to see the whole fort. We also saw a sword and cannon demonstration. We went to Fort George later. Fort George was actually burned down by the Americans, so Fort George isn't original. There we saw a musket demonstration. The forts are built across the river from each other.
Monday morning we left the hotel. On the way back we stopped at Corning Glass Museum. We got home around 4:30.
That was our trip to Niagara Falls.
